Trial Access to Nano Online, Building Types Online and IUPAC Standards Online from De Gruyter

"Nano Online""Bulding Types Online" and "IUPAC Standards Online" databases from De Gruyter will be on trial access until December 31, 2017.

Nano OnlineThe one-stop-shop for nano-science – offers a comprehensive coverage of the subject area nano science and technology. This database allows for easy access to research results from a cross section of disciplines active in this area – including physics, chemistry and materials science as well as engineering and medicine.

The database includes more than 1,200 entries (an equivalent of more than 17,000 print pages) from journals and books as well as Open Access content. Annual updates of more than 250 entries (about 2,000 print pages) will supply state-of-the-art research results.

Building Types Online draws on the expertise and the high international standing of Birkhäuser and comprises the knowledge and content of selected Birkhäuser manuals in typological order. The approx. 850 case studies are documented with texts by authors who are experts in their fields and with approx. 5000 architectural drawings of high quality as well as 2000 photographs of the buildings. Using a systematic and analytical search and browse structure that allows all kinds of combinations, the database provides solutions for numerous design tasks in study and practice. This tool will facilitate research on building typology and architectural design assignments. Thematic articles provide background information on individual building types or explain specific aspects such as lighting, acoustics, urban considerations, access types or planning processes.

IUPAC Standards OnlineIUPAC Standards Online is a unique compilation of the internationally-binding standards and recommendations for chemistry and related fields created by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
These standards and recommendations, extracted from the IUPAC Journal Pure and Applied Chemistry (PAC), are used worldwide by scientists in industry and academia, patent lawyers, toxicologists, environmental scientists, legislators and others who need access to the authoritative information on chemical nomenclature, symbols, terminology, units, weights, measures, and similar scientific conventions.
