Open Access Publishing in Springer Nature Journals: Read – Publish Agreement
Within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, a “Read & Publish” agreement was signed with Springer Nature, covering the period 2024-2026. The Springer Nature agreement is the second Read-Publish agreement after the Wiley Agreement was made at the national level.
- Within the scope of the agreement, publications of the “Original Article,” “Review Article,” and “Continuing Education” types in the Q1 and Q2 Group Springer Nature Hybrid Journals in the Web of Science (SCI, SSCI, AHCI) will be within the scope of Open Access (OA) support.
- Click here to access the list of eligible journals (valid between 01.01.2024 and 31.12.2024). (The Q1/Q2 list to be published in JCR on 01.07.2024 will be valid until 31.12.2025.)
- It will be possible to publish “Open Access” publications submitted and accepted to Springer Nature hybrid journals within the scope, if the author wishes, without paying the Article Processing Fee (APC).
- Responsible corresponding authors should use the IZTECH email address when submitting an article for publication to be approved to be published open access with no transactional APCs.
Note: There is a “national annual OA article publishing quota” within the scope of the agreement. The APC will be offered for the articles on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is a right to publish an AE article in the quota, its approval will be given by ULAKBİM. If the annual OA article publishing quota expires, the author of the relevant publication will have to pay the APC fee himself or the funding agency.
