The third term of the agreement—which allows you to publish open access in Springer hybrid journals at no cost—has commenced as of January 1, 2026. Consequently, the open access publication quotas are now active once again.

The first webinar of the year, where updates regarding journal scope, eligibility criteria, and current quota status will be shared, will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This session will cover the details of the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM agreement, including participating institutions, author and article identification, and the essential steps authors must follow from the application to the approval process. Furthermore, to support authors in their writing journey, the session will feature tips and best practices on how to draft a high-quality manuscript. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session to address frequently asked questions.
