Under the agreement between TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Springer Nature, the 2025 quota of 2,711 open-access articles has been reached. From now on, articles accepted by Springer Nature will not be included in the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM system, and APC support will not be provided. As the agreement only covers hybrid journals, authors will be able to publish their articles in closed access without paying any fees.

The quota for 2026 is 3,090 articles and will become available on 1 January 2026. As the article acceptance date is used as the basis, authors submitting new articles may increase their chances of utilising the quota by choosing to submit towards the end of the year (bearing in mind that the acceptance process may take several months).
