6th International İzmir Literature Festival – Literature is Slow
The International İzmir Literature Festival will be held for the sixth time this year with the theme of “Literature is Slow” between 30 September and 7 October with the participation of 40 guests from 7 countries.
Latife Tekin will be this year’s guest of honor of the festival, which will bring together important names such as Ahmet Büke, Akif Kurtuluş, Ayşegül Devecioğlu, Ayşen Deniz, Barış İnce, Bekir Yurdakul, Betül Dünder, Çağla Meknuze, Doğu Yücel, Duygu Kankaytsın, Emel Kaya, Yavuz Ekinci, Gaye Boralıoğlu, Gönül Çatalcalı, Halil İbrahim Özcan, Hidayet Karakuş, Hüseyin Peker, Hüseyin Yurttaş, İlyas Tunç, İnanç Avadit, Latife Tekin, Nazmi Ağıl, Sema Kaygusuz, Semih Çelenk, Şerife Yalçınkaya, Şükran Yücel, Umay Umay, Veysel Çolak, Mario Tiago Paixao, Arzu Armağan Akkanatlı, Gizem Pınar Karaboğa, Eckhart Nickel and Özgür Taburoğlu.
The festival is organized in partnership with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Piriştina İzmir City Archive and the Museum (APİKAM), and Goethe Institute. It will be held in many districts such as Konak, Urla, and Seferihisar, with over 60 different events, for example, panels, interviews, poetry concerts, author talks, essay workshops, etc.
