ACM Open: Unlimited Open Access Publishing Rights
As IZTECH Library, an ACM Open agreement, effective as of February 1, 2026, has been reached with ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) to facilitate access to scientific literature and to enhance the global visibility of our institute’s research outputs.
Within the scope of this agreement, significant advantages have been provided for IZTECH researchers in both Open Access publishing and content access processes:
1. Unlimited Open Access Publishing
IZTECH researchers will be able to publish an unlimited number of articles as “Open Access” in ACM’s “Research Articles”, “Short Papers”, and “Survey Papers”. 2026 ACM Open Eligible Title List
2. Access to ACM Digital Library “DL Premium”
As of January 1, 2026, ACM has fully transitioned to an “Open Access” model. All articles and research materials published by ACM—covering the latest literature in computing, from software engineering to artificial intelligence, data science to cybersecurity—are now freely available worldwide, with no paywalls. To ensure the sustainability of the platform, ACM Digital Library services are offered in two editions:
-
DL Basic: Provides free, public access to all research content.
-
DL Premium: Offers value-added services supporting in-depth analysis, advanced research tools, and institutional research workflows.
-
Our Institute’s Advantage (ACM Open): Thanks to the ACM Open agreement, members of our Institute will have access to all advanced features and tools in the “DL Premium” package, surpassing the capabilities of standard users.
Open Access Publishing Process for Authors:
-
Institutional Identification and Email Usage: During the article submission and eRights selection process, the institution’s name must be correctly identified, and institutional email addresses must be used.
-
ORCID Requirement: All affiliated authors must provide a valid ORCID so that ACM systems can properly identify them.
-
Corresponding Author Designation: To benefit from the Article Processing Charge (APC) waiver, the designated “Corresponding Author” of the article must be an affiliated researcher from IZTECH.
-
Creative Commons License Selection: After the manuscript is accepted, the Affiliated Corresponding Author must select a Creative Commons license (CC-BY is the default and recommended option) during the ACM eRights selection workflow.
