New Features in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses
New features, Citation Connections, have been added to the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database, which we have access to within the scope of TUBITAK ULAKBIM EKUAL. Citation Connections can be seen “Document Viewing” page as “Foundational Research” and “Similar Dissertations.”
“Foundational Research” allows researchers to efficiently focus on what is most relevant to their field by monitoring citation frequency and delivering Foundational Research, including Journal Articles, Books, Dissertations, etc.
“Similar Dissertations” is a collection of dissertations with research closely aligned with the seed document displayed on the page, which can be useful to identify other dissertations that have been written on this topic. There is also the “Similarity Index” used to rank the collection of Similar Dissertations by the degree of relationship to the topic of the seed document displayed on the page.
Citation Connections can currently be seen for 1.1 million full-text theses in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses, and this number is planned to increase.
